Hot and Fun in the Summertime!

Hot and fun in the summertime!

Near 100 today and humid!

Boy has it been hot at the Jersey Shore! Near 100 today! We had a fun weekend celebrating our Independence, although my husband did a lot of emergency air conditioning calls! We did get to go to the beach one day...the ocean temps were warm and the ocean was clean! No jelly fish...no seaweed! Yea Baby! Here we are with our grand daughter.

Summer fun!
Queen of the mountain!

Pound cake flag!

Taco pizza and Sangria!

Taco Pizza
If you have a round pan..that's great...

Cover the bottom of the pan w can of refried beans.
Top with sour cream.
Top with jar of salsa.
Sprinkle grated cheddar cheese (bagged is ez)
opt. Black olives, red onion, avacado...
Use tortilla chips to dip!

Red White and Blue jello dessert! I had so much fun making it!

The Birthday boys...Rick (a friend) and Gerry!

Here are some quotes I found rather inspirational!

You have to love a nation that celebrates its independence every
July 4, not with a parade of guns, tanks, and soldiers who file by the
White House in a show of strength and muscle, but with family picnics
where kids throw Frisbees, the potato salad gets iffy, and the flies
die from happiness. You may think you have overeaten, but it is
patriotism. - Erma Bombeck

Let
every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, we shall pay any
price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose
any foe, to assure the survival and success of liberty.~Thomas Jefferson

God Bless America!

Make today count! xoxo Jennifer aka Gigi

  1. Happy belated 4th! Looks like you and your family had a great time. Yep, it's been horribly hot - makes you just want to sit in the water and not move. Love the American flag cake!

  2. I found a new fun thing...relax in the pool in the lounge chair, reading a magazine and drinking iced tea and sangria...in about and hour and a half! I hear there is a sea breeze in Ocean City!! about 95...

  3. We live at The Garden beaches in OC, usually some place off Atlantic as they allow surfing (now that I write that I think practically all garden beaches are off Atlantic lol). Let me know if you are ever down! I'll drink sangria with you and lounge in the water
