There's no place like home for the holdiays

Many years ago the Pilgrims gathered to thank God for helping them through their challenging times in the New World. We too have so much to be thankful for. I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. Remember to thank God for all his blessings as we pause to give thanks and teach the next generation about the faithfulness of God over the years.

Come on in and hang up your coat.

Have a seat...

Help yourself to some turkey, stuffing and gravy.

After supper we can recline in the living room and save room for pumpkin pie, pumpkin roll & coffee.

Then we can sit by the fire and talk about our fond memories and ask for the Lord's blessing.

If you can't be with loved ones this year, maybe reach out to a neighbor or serve others at the local food bank, church or soup kitchen.

Is the frost on the Punkin yet?

Is the frost on the Punkin yet?

These flowers are still blooming in my garden! We haven’t had our first hard frost so there are still a few flowers holding on. Look below at the flowers still blooming. The pink roses above smell wonderful! I wonder when our first snow will hit?

The Charity League Christmas Mart is this weekend and I took my grand daughter Adley to see Santa. I did some Christmas shopping and will start to wrap today.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have been so blessed. We are living in challenging times. We need to find simple pleasures and live within our means. I pray God’s richest blessings on you and your family.

We do not want a New World Order Global Government

We do not want a New World Order Global Government. Americans want to be free and independent. We will not bow to any other government or World Order. God has placed freedom in the hearts of man. We as individuals can work toward peace. Creating a Global Government is not the way to peace. The price is too high to pay in individual freedom.

Tower of Babel – “If as one people speaking the same language they have (built a tower to the heaven) begun to do this, then nothing will be impossible with them. So the Lord confused their language so they would not understand each other. That is why it is called Babel.” Genesis 11

“But peace does not rest in charters or covenants alone. It lies in the hearts and minds of all people. So let us not rest all our hopes on parchment, let us strive to build peace, a desire for peace, a willingness to work for peace, in the hearts and minds of all people. I believe that we can. I believe the problems of human destiny are not beyond the reach of human beings.” John F. Kennedy

Beauty is all around...

"Whatever you do each day, try to find some beauty. Be it a sunset, calming music, gorgeous artwork, a hug from a friend, leaves softly falling from the trees, the flicker of a candle, the roar of a fire, the wind on your face"...Jennifer

Don't you just love the above quote from Frank Lloyd Wright. That's why I read blogs, you all inspire me... Have a beauty filled day...Check out this beautiful blog where I got the quote....and

I went to the woods...

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived. Henry David Thoreau

Aren't these words wonderful? We all face the challenge to really live our lives to the fullest and find moments of stillness and quiet. Where do you like to go?

We just spent some time with our grand kids at Tyler Arboretum in Media Pa.
It was wonderful being out in the fresh air and enjoying the beautiful fall leaves and all the wonders of nature.
Have a wonderful week...what are you giving thanks for this Thanksgiving?
I'd love to hear ....Jennifer aka Gigi
