Living by Water at the Jersey Shore

The Jersey Shore in Southern New Jersey was a really great place to grow up! It is really different than North Jersey. We are nothing like the place that the Jersey Shore is filmed. Ocean City is a dry town, no alcohol sold in stores or in restaurants so it is not a rowdy place. Growing up we went to the beach almost every day…the boardwalk at night with rides and cotton candy!

Now I am enjoying seeing my world thru my grandchildren’s eyes.

I love sunrises, sunsets, walks on the beach…sounds like a personal ad, eh?...

When we travel I will pay extra to have an ocean view…In Ocean City Md it was awesome to see the sunrise from our room as well as on Catalina Island and the Keys. We had a wonderful vacation to Hawaii…Honolulu and Maui! You must put on your “to do” list!

I am saving up for a trip to Italy…Well if you ever are in the NJ area you will love Cape May County and the Atlantic City area…even if you don’t gamble…great restaurants, cool shows, entertainment!

I am linking up to My French Country Home about living by the water. Did you grow up by the water? What do you like about the water? Where is your favorite place to go for vacation?

I’d love to hear! Jennifer aka Gigi

The pictures of the parasailing are gorgeous and I almost died when I saw the drip castles, those are my very favorite kind! Happy summer with love xoxo Trish

  4. Jennifer,

I love the water. I can't explain it but just by being near it, no matter what I experience and go through, it seems that all my worries melt away. I have always felt at ease and in peace by the sea... as a child in France and along the Eastern shore here in the States... I dream of one day having a house, a small house right on the water... I'll have large windows and I'll sit at them and read and write and just look out all day long... I'll watch as the sun rises and then sets and I'll watch the as the sea changes colors with the seasons... it is my dream. I'm about to do a post on the sea too. I loved your pictures!
