Longwood Gardens in Springtime

Longwood Gardens in Springtime

We recently had a beautiful day at this lovely attraction in the Brandywine area of PA. There was the magnificent smell of gardenias in the Conservatory. Also check out the beautiful wisteria hanging over the Pierre DuPont House which we took a tour this time. DuPont also owned Winterthur. We saw great movies and pictures from back in the day of DuPont and his interesting artifacts. We also went through the Orchid House. I'll post at a later time.
There are fun things for kids including a tree house and lookout to climb and an indoor children's garden with fountains.
Hope you enjoy!

  1. Jennnifer, these are such gorgeous photos! You wouldn't believe it, but I live in Chadds Ford, not far from Longwood Gardens at all! We are annual members and go all the time, it is like heaven on earth, don't you think? The tulips and foxgloves this time of year are exquisite, I just love all your pictures!! xoxo

  2. Hi Trish, How lucky you are! My daughter got an annual membership too! I can't wait to visit the Brandywine museum someday...I am glad you like the pics...should be warm this weekend. Last yr we went on April 28 and it was about 90 degrees! Amy says Morris Arboretum & Tyler Arboretum are nice on my list! Hope you dont miss the south too much...Went to Lilly in Suburban Square last weekend!! fun fun!
