The Diving Horse is an upscale restaurant in downtown Avalon. Excellent service and superb food made for a perfect night.

We started with field greens with an excellent combination of strawberries, beets, pistachios and vinaigrette.

For appetizer - fried oysters with pancetta and creamy potato salad. A refreshing combination.

Main course a was perfectly grilled filet mignon with flavorful bordelaise sauce, asparagus and potatoes.

The buffet included fresh fruit including cantaloupe, honey dew melon, watermelon, peaches, scrambled eggs, southern delights spoon bread and grits, chicken & gravy, catfish, and biscuits. All outstanding.

Take time to rock on the chairs on the porch!
