It's the Soldier

It's the Soldier, not the reporter
Who has given us the Freedom of the Press.
It's the Soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us the Freedom of Speech.
It's the Soldier, not the politicians
That ensures our right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit
of Happiness..
It's the Soldier who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag.

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend and were
able to take time to reflect on the
sacrifice that others have made for our freedom.
I hope we all can live lives worthy of their
sacrifice.

God Bless America and God Bless Our Military and
the Families of our Fallen Soldiers.
Greater love hath no man than he lay down his life
for a friend.
May you and your family have a safe and meaningful summer.
