Winter at Winterthur - Tres Elegant

Winter at Winterthur

I went with my granddaughter and her History Club to Winterthur, the DuPont Mansion in Delaware. It was sponsored by the Delaware County Historical Society. We had a fabulous time. It was all decked out for Christmas. Have you gotten to go on any House Tours this Christmas? Tell us where you have been and leave a link!

It is fun to look into the past and see how Christmas was celebrated long ago.

Now it's our turn to make Christmas as special as we can for our families. Whether you have abundance this year or are struggling to pay your bills, you can instill in your children the joy of giving to others and teach them the Christmas Story of a savior who came in a lowly manger with no wealth or status, and He changed the world.

Warm regards, Jennifer aka Gigi

This tree had all dried flowers! Isn't it gorgeous!

Wouldn't it be fun to throw a party here?

A doll for Christmas!

  1. Looks wonderful!!! What a nice outing for you and your granddaughter. I remember going to a big Christmas tree show every year when I was younger with my grandma-it's so nice to have fond memories like that!
