It’s a Girl!

Our new grand daughter Emma Joy!

All the kids meeting their sister!

Proud brother and Mommy!

Big sister! She will be a big help!

Clara is so happy with her new sister! She sang "Mockingbird" to her without anyone asking her!

We celebrated our birthdays at Lankenau in Philadelphia!

The whole family.

Our dear daughter Amy. She is an English professor who is Home Schooling.

Well the big news is our daughter Amy had her baby 3 weeks early. She had an internal exam last Fri and she was 3 centimeters dilated and 80% effaced meaning the baby was in position.

Sunday night her contractions were strong about every 5 min. and because I was 1 ½ hrs away she had a friend stay with the kids over night until I drove up early Mon morning. (Sun night traffic back to Philly from the shore is very heavy) Emma Joy was born at 5:08 am weighing 5 lbs 11 oz.

My daughter’s first child was breech, feet first, so she needed a Cesarean…and then she had 3 natural deliveries aka VBAC, Vaginal Birth After Cesarean they call them. (It is important to read about this and talk to your doctor. I am glad she did not have to deal with major surgery again. So Emma was born Aug 8th, the day before my daughter and my birthdays Aug 9th. She weighed 5 lbs 11 oz. We are so blessed to have a healthy child and that Mom is doing fine although tired.

Thank you God for a healthy baby and safe delivery. It's so good her husband will be around to help before classes start in a few weeks.

Enjoy the last weeks of summer! Jennifer aka Gigi

Pop Pop had his turn too!
