Island Winter- God is...

The Jersey Shore got a lot more snow than expected. We got about 8 inches! On Saturday we drove thru the snow to our friends who are in from England and she cooked a marvelous lasagna dinner. We felt special to be included in their dinner party. 4 Wheel Drive vehicles are a life saver when you have to drive thru snow. We saw 2 cars in ditches on the AC Expressway and on the way home we saw a car spin out and go into a ditch. Luckily they did not hit a tree!

Friday night our son and his wife had a sleep over in their new house with our daughter's family. We went over for pizza and we relaxed by a crackling fire...Aaron played a few songs on his ukelele and we went around and we each told a story about something that happened in one of the houses we each have lived in. It was fun reminiscing.

Today, Sunday, we went for a walk along the beach and boardwalk in the snow! I had fun taking pictures. Hope you like them...

We read Psalm 145 today and it is a comfort to see all the attributes of God.
God is Gracious
God is Compassionate.
God is Slow to Anger.
God is Rich in Love.
God is Faithful to all his promises.
God upholds all who fall down.
God is Great.
God is Worthy of Praise.
God is Righteous.
God satisfies the desire of every living thing.
God is near to all who call on him.
God fulfills our desire and hears our cry.
God watches over all who love him.

No matter how we find our way to God and what "religion" we profess, God wants to help us through on our journey. He is a prayer away.

We see God's majesty through his wonderful creation. May the Lord bless you this week.

Let it Snow!

We had to drive to a funeral in Thorndale PA on Sat during that blizzard. My relatives were coming in from Portland, OR; Annapolis, MD & Mass. so we drove my parents thru the blizzard from 6 am and got home at 5 pm. They gave a nice tribute to my Aunt Addie. She was a school bus driver for 40 years & conducted her church choir for 38 yrs! My one cousin is a Middle school music teacher, teaching every instrument! Her sister is a seamstress who makes Revolutionary War apparel for Reenactors!
