Best-Loved Doll Birthday Party

All the girls were invited to bring their Best-Loved Doll to a Tea Party for my granddaughter’s 6^th Birthday Party, based on the book, "The Best-Loved Doll" by Rebecca Caudill and Elliot Gilbert.

The girls each brought their favorite doll!

They were all so adorable...American Girl dolls...

My daughter read them “The Best-Loved Doll.”

First Course - Tea and Shortbread cookies. Second Course - Pink Smoothies, Tea Sandwiches- Cucumber Sandwiches, Pink and White Star bites, Dessert - Raspberry Tarts, Birthday Cake and Ice Cream.
I was surprised how much the girls liked the cucumber sandwiches.

They played games including a relay race diapering one of their dolls.
They also decorated straw hats ...

Raspberry tarts

and made bead necklaces.

Matching nightgowns

The party was great fun, the food was delicious and the girls enjoyed sipping tea and dressing up for a fun tea party.
