Wonderful to see a picture of the boardwalk in Atlantic City....I spent every summer going there for the day with the folks...We spent the summer on LBI and my father would take us to the boardwalk where him and my mother would dance on the Steel Pier....we would watch the diving horses and my brothers would go down in the diving bell....The night would end having cold milk and hot cinnamon donuts at Mammy's...It was wonderful...I still have many black and white photo's from all those trips...Thanks for taking me back to those days...
ReplyDeleteHi Sue! I am glad you like the pics of AC! They have fixed up the city so much so you need to come back! There is a whole area called The Walk that has outlet shopping & the Pier at Caesar's has very upscale shopping and fabulous restaurants- Buddakan,Phillip's Seafood+...&Adirondack chairs just to sit & watch the ocean! Also the Tropicana has The Quarter-fab restaurants too...Carmines, The Palm, Cuba Libre & more & shopping...Brooksbrothers, etc.
ReplyDeleteI never saw the diving horse but my hubby did. I used to go to the Steel Pier to see music in the early 70's- Chicago, Canned Heat...
I worked for Miss America organization when I graduated in 2004-the last yr the pageant was in AC :(
The Borgata is a really cool hotel too w The Water Club. Alot of great concerts in AC too...
Do you remember the Rolling chairs? The Air Show in Aug brings close to a million visitors!
Come make some new memories at the Jersey Shore!
Cheers! Jennifer

ReplyDeleteHi Miss Janice! Thanks for stopping by! That house had a lot of character! Nothing like a front porch and side yard for croquet and tag and bird watching.
ReplyDeleteIt is finally warming up in NJ! Yeah! Have a lovely Spring!
Love that you educate on manners! Hope you enjoy the shepherd's pie!
Best wishes! Jennifer
